These
additional tips come directly from recent reports and are commonly
found in homes in the Houston area. Review each comment and see if it
applies to your home. Fixing these in advance of a home inspection
could save you some money and possibly a sale!

Caulking
and sealing is needed around all
exterior siding penetrations including, but not limited to, electrical
panels,
light fixtures, plumbing penetrations, vent terminations, expansion
joints,
etc.
- Observed
paint chipping/peeling in one or more
areas around the home. Recommend client consider painting exterior wood
in the
near future.
- Foliage
should not be touching the siding on the
house. This helps to prevent insect access.
- Some
interior doors are missing the door stops
or they are out of position behind one or more doors. Door stops help
prevent
damage to the sheetrock.
